One of the major benefits offered to you as a holder of a Thailand Elite Visa is the unique perks for Thailand Elite Visa, the Privilege Points System. This complimentary feature, exclusive to Thailand Privilege members, further enhances your Thailand experience and enables you to customize your membership rewards.
This article will discuss how the Thailand Privilege Points redemption system works and all the benefits it can provide for you.
How Does the Thailand Privilege Point System Work?
The new privilege points system functions by issuing an allotment of points each year, which you can redeem to acquire various perks for Thailand Elite Visa. It offers more flexibility, allowing you to personalize your membership by choosing any of the membership rewards on offer rather than being limited to a standard selection of benefits.
The privilege points feature is available to you regardless of your membership package. You are automatically issued a number of points each year depending on your package:
- 5-year Thailand Privilege GOLD Membership: 20 points
- 10-year Thailand Privilege PLATINUM Membership: 35 points
- 15-year Thailand Privilege DIAMOND Membership: 55 points
- 20-year Thailand Privilege RESERVE Membership (by invitation only): 120 points
It is recommended that you use all of your points within the year you receive them, as your total will reset to the default amount at the start of the following year. For instance, if you have a 5-year GOLD membership package, the total number of points will reset to 20 at the start of the next year, regardless of how much you’ve spent as they do not roll over.

These are not the only perks you can redeem using your current allotment of points and there are many more on offer. Some perks also include special benefits exclusive only to specific packages, such as priority booking services or being included with your membership at no extra cost, so you won’t need to use your points to enjoy them.
Thailand Privilege Point FAQ
Can I Apply for a Physical Thailand Privilege Card?
Yes, and it is also recommended to have a physical Thailand Privilege card in your possession. This is because some providers will only let you redeem your points with them if you have a card on hand.
To apply for a physical card, you will need to apply for it separately, which you can do the moment you receive your membership ID and welcome letter. Once you have applied, your card will be mailed to your address in Thailand or you can choose to pick it up at the Thailand Privilege desk upon arrival at a Thai International Airport.
How Do I Use Thailand Privilege Points?
You can redeem your privilege points with the provider by showing proof of your Thailand Privilege membership. If you have a physical Thailand Privilege card, you can sometimes display your card to the vendor to spend your points. However, in some cases, you will need to call the Member Contact Center to make arrangements before arriving at the venue in person.
Is There a Way to Gain More Annual Privilege Points?
No, the number of yearly privilege points is fixed according to your membership. The only way to expand the amount of points you get is to upgrade your current membership package to a higher level. For example, if you are holding a Gold membership, you can upgrade it to a Platinum membership to increase your annual privilege points from 20 to 35 points.
Can My Family Members Benefit from the Privilege Points System?
Any immediate family members you include in your primary application can redeem privilege points for a perk of their choice. However, they only gain access to the same allotment of privilege points that you receive as the primary applicant. For instance, if you are a Diamond member and you added your spouse as an additional member, they must use the same 55 yearly points that you receive.
