Thailand Privilege Membership Bronze vs Gold

Bronze Vs Gold: Comparing the New Thailand Privilege Membership

In November 2024, Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd. (TPC) announced a new Thailand Privilege Membership, the Thailand Privilege Bronze membership. It would be made available in mid-December. This announcement has sparked interest in the new membership, especially in how it compares to the Gold membership package.

These comparisons matter as each package offers different benefits and caters to distinct lifestyles and preferences. Knowledge about these differences is vital to helping you decide on which membership aligns with your goals once the Bronze membership goes into effect.

This page will compare the two Thailand Privilege membership packages, examining the similarities and differences in their costs, benefits, and application processes.

What Are the Similarities Between the Bronze and Gold Memberships?

Many comparisons can be drawn between the Bronze and Gold membership packages as both offer a convenient and affordable way for you to reside in Thailand for extended periods. Each one allows you to achieve similar goals in Thailand and gives you enough time to decide whether to fully commit to the Thailand Privilege Program. As a result, both memberships share similar features and conditions, such as:

  • 5-year membership duration
  • 5-year multiple-entry visa, allowing you to enter and exit Thailand without needing a re-entry permit
  • Allowing you to reside in Thailand for up to 1 year per entry
  • Non-transferable to other applicants
  • Upgradeable to higher-tier membership packages for extended validity and access to greater privileges
  • Continuous access to the premium lane at Thai international airports for fast-tracked immigration services
  • Complementary Elite Personal Assistant (EPA) services when departing or arriving in Thailand at Suvarnabhumi Airport (Bangkok) or Phuket Airport
  • Unlimited access to the exclusive Thailand Privilege lounge at Chaeng Watthana Government Complex
  • 24/7 Member Contact Center (MCC) hotline for limitless support from TPC
  • 90-day report services at TPC’s Sathorn Headquarters

What’s the Difference Between the Thailand Privilege Bronze Membership and Gold Membership?

TPC introduced the Bronze membership in response to feedback from applicants claiming they only desire VIP and airport privileges but don’t require any additional luxury perks. Because of this, the new membership serves as a cheaper option that only provides the essential benefits. Despite the multiple similarities between the two, the Bronze membership does differ from the Gold membership in the following ways:

Bronze Membership’s Price

The biggest selling point of the Bronze membership is its affordability. Costing 650,000 baht, the Bronze membership is now the cheapest out of all the Thailand Privilege membership options. This is in contrast to the Gold membership, which costs 900,000 baht to apply. In both cases, this is the only price you have to pay for either membership, as neither has annual fees or additional charges.

Thailand Privilege Points

Unlike the other Thailand Privilege membership options, the privilege points system is not available if you hold a 5-year Bronze membership. As such, you do not receive an annual allotment of privilege points. Alternatively, the Gold membership package offers you 20 privilege points every year you can redeem for free perks like luxury hotel stays, 90-day reporting assistance, free domestic flights, and many more. Higher tiers of Thailand Privilege get higher amounts of points each year, with Bronze being the only tier that is left out.

Availability of Both Packages

The Bronze membership is only available for a limited time as of the time of its announcement. You can only apply for it from 15 December 2024 to 30 June 2025. The Gold membership package and all higher tiers are available year-round.

Luxury Services and Privileges

While both membership packages have luxury services and special privileges, they also differ in certain ways to cut costs for the Bronze membership and pass the savings on to you:

  • The Gold membership allows you to spend a small number of privilege points for access to services provided by Elite Personal Liaisons (EPLs). This includes assistance in opening a Thai bank account, obtaining a Thai driver’s license, or completing a 90-day report. If you’re a Bronze member, you can only use this service once per membership period.
  • Holding a Gold membership entitles you to a free personal accident insurance package usable for the first 6 months of your membership. As a Bronze member, the complementary insurance package isn’t available as a feature.
  • The Gold and Bronze memberships grant exclusive deals and discounts at select establishments such as restaurants and shopping centers. However, the lack of privilege points for the Bronze membership offers less freedom to choose any additional privileges beyond that.

Is the Bronze Membership Application Different from Gold Membership?

The only difference you’ll come across when applying for a Bronze membership, as opposed to the Gold, is needing to complete a different application form. Furthermore, you can still get the same free assistance from approved General Sales and Services Agents (GSSAs) with your Bronze membership application, just like with Gold. The documents you are required to submit remain the same. For more information on how to apply, please consult our Thailand Elite Visa webpage.

Can I switch to Bronze membership if I have already applied for Gold?

If you’re already applying for a different Thailand Privilege membership package but would like to switch to the Bronze, you can do so provided you haven’t paid your membership fee yet. If you haven’t paid this fee, you can switch by completing and submitting the Bronze membership application form to TPC.

If you have already paid the membership fee, you won’t be able to switch over. However, if you have a Gold membership, you will receive one free health check-up that you must redeem before December 31, 2025.
