Temporary Suspension of Visa Stamp Issuance in Cambodia
Yes, the Thailand immigration in all border checkpoints in Cambodia (including the one in Aranyaprathet – Poi Pet border) is temporarily not issuing 15-day and 30-day immigration exempt stamp to border runners. This sudden move has taken effect on September 13, 2015. The new restrictions may be connected to the recent bombing incidents in Bangkok where the foreign man who is believed to be the primary suspect has been arrested on a Cambodian border.

It depends on the number of applicants on that particular time. Usually processing your visa on arrival will take 30 minutes at least.
Visa on Arrival Requirements
Visa on arrival requirements are as follows:
- Return Ticket
- ID picture with white background (size=3.5cm x 4.5cm)
- Hotel accommodation information
- 10,000THB/Single person or 20,000THB/Family or equivalent to local currency
The length of stay for visa on arrival is up to 15 days.
Options for a 60 year old traveling freely in Thailand
One of the requirements when applying for the one year extension of stay based on retirement is the proof of permanent residence in Thailand. Documents such as purchase agreement and lease contract are needed during the application. While some immigration offices accepts a 3-month condominium or apartment lease period, a longer contract may be required in other provinces.
