Simple Guide to 90-Day Reporting as Thailand Elite Visa Holder

Thai 90-day Reporting as Thai Elite Visa Holder

Thai 90-day Reporting as Thai Elite Visa Holder

While holding a Thailand Elite Visa enables you to stay in Thailand long-term for several years and leverage a wealth of privileges, you still need to report your address to Thai immigration every 90 days. Fortunately, completing the Thai 90-day reporting process is made easier thanks to the Thailand Privilege rewards program.

How to report to immigration every 90 days

You need to report to Thai immigration no earlier than 15 days before you’ve reached your 90th day of consecutive stay in Thailand. This is mandatory for most foreigners, including Elite Visa holders as they technically hold a kind of tourist visa. Fortunately, gone are the days when your only option was to go in person to Thai Immigration.

Here are the ways you can report your current address to immigration authorities:

  • In-person at the Thai Immigration Office on Chaengwattana Road
  • By mail
  • Through an authorized agent
  • Through the online system

It should be noted that if you missed the 15-day window, you must report in person to the immigration office no later than 7 days after the deadline has passed. You will be fined 2,000 THB if you fail to report in time.

Alternatively, if you want to avoid the hassle, you can leave Thailand, and upon returning to the country your 90-day count will reset to 1 and you will not have to complete the requirement until you’ve stayed consecutively in the country for another 90 days.

Acquiring assistance for your 90-day report

As a Thailand Elite Visa holder, you have an advantage over other visa holders when making your report. They may need to either pay or acquire a power of attorney for an agent to seek support, but with a Thailand Elite Visa, you only need to spend Thailand privilege points.

Spending 1 point earns you access to the 90-day reporting services offered by an Elite Personal Liaison (EPL). The EPL is an official Thailand Privilege agent who will collect all your required documents for the procedure and submit them to the main immigration office in your stead. EPLs have the skills necessary to report on your behalf and ensure the procedure is completed correctly, giving you peace of mind knowing your 90-day report is safe in the hands of experts.

Note that this service will apply for that particular reporting period. You will need to spend another point if you want to hire an EPL to complete your reporting after another 90 days has passed. To hire an EPL, simply call the 24/7 Member Contact Center (MCC) and request their assistance.

What do you need to provide?

You must complete a series of forms and provide some documentation as part of the reporting procedure, including

  • A valid foreign passport
  • Completed and signed 90-day reporting form (TM.47)
  • Foreign National Residence Notification Form (TM.30)

Once you’ve gathered all mandatory items, send these to your EPL who will then pass them on to the Thai immigration authorities in charge of your reporting. They will inform you how to provide them with the documents, but you can also bring them to the Thailand Privilege head office in Sathorn (check their monthly newsletter for available drop-off dates).

The EPL will touch base with you if there are any missing documents or if the Thai immigration officer needs any additional items. Once your reporting is complete, you can return to the Thailand Privilege office between 9 am to 4:30 pm and collect your passport on any weekday.
