The Thailand Privilege Visa Diamond membership is the highest tier of the Thailand Privilege Program with the longest membership validity that is open to the public. It provides more points to redeem for rewards, a 15-year valid Thailand Elite Visa, and save for the exclusive Reserve membership, which requires an invitation.
The Diamond membership tier is ideal for retirees, long-term expats, and frequent visitors to Thailand with solid plans for extended stays in the country, especially those with dependents.
Additionally, like all Thailand Privilege tiers, getting a Diamond membership and the accompanying Thailand Elite Visa is a quick and easy process when compared to the application processes of other Thai visas.
Overview of the Thailand Privilege Diamond Membership
Here are the basic details for Diamond membership:
- Membership Validity: 15 Years
- Membership Fee (primary applicant): 2,500,000 THB
- Membership Fee (additional members): 1,500,000 THB
- Annual Privilege Points: 55
- Transferable: No
Note that for the privilege points feature, additional family members will NOT receive their own allotment of points. All additional members must share the pool of 55 points granted to the primary member.
Similar to the Platinum Membership, the Diamond membership tier provides a multiple-entry visa that is valid for 5 years and can be renewed twice up to the maximum membership validity of 15 years. The Thailand Elite Visa enables the holder to travel in and out of Thailand as often as they please without the need to apply for a re-entry permit each time. This pairs well with the expedited immigration processing that all Thailand Privilege members enjoy via the premium lane at all international airports in Thailand.
However, the Thailand Elite Visa is still technically classified as a type of tourist visa. This means that holders cannot apply for a Thai work permit or take on employment with a Thai company. With that being said, there are no restrictions when engaging in remote work for foreign employers or clients and earning profits from investments in Thailand.
Like many other Thai visas, Thailand Elite Visa holders are still obligated to do their 90-day reporting, but to ease the process, they have the option to redeem a single Privilege Point to enlist a visa agent to perform this task on their behalf or drop their application packet off at the Thailand Privilege HQ in Sathorn, Bangkok.

Eligibility Requirements for Thailand Privilege Diamond Membership
While less stringent than those for other long-term Thai visas, Thailand Privilege has a handful of eligibility criteria that applicants must meet to ensure their application is not rejected:
- Hold a foreign passport; all nationalities are eligible except the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea)
- Passport must have at least 1 year of remaining validity at the time of application
- Must not ever have held a Thai volunteer visa
- Must not have a record of criminal conviction, bankruptcy, or being declared mentally unfit
- Must not have a record of serious visa overstay in Thailand
Other than the list above, there are no age, education, income, employment, marriage, or investment requirements.
How to Apply for a Thailand Privilege Diamond Membership
Your first step when applying for a Thailand Privilege membership and the accompanying Thailand Elite Visa should be to engage the services of a General Sales and Services Agent (GSSA).
These are private organizations that are certified by the Thai government to assist all applicants with the Thailand Privilege Program. They have comprehensive knowledge of the Thailand Privilege Program and its processes, enabling them to provide consultations as well as application preparation services.
Applying through a GSSA makes the whole process swift and streamlined while minimizing the chances of rejection. Best of all, these services are completely free to applicants as the cost is included in your membership fee. Do not apply through unauthorized visa agents, as there is always a risk of fraud. When choosing a Thailand Elite Visa agent, look for the official GSSA seal:
