The Thailand Privilege Platinum membership is one step above the Gold Membership and is the most affordable Thailand Privilege membership tier that also allows applicants to add family members to the program at a reduced rate. It’s a great option for digital nomads, frequent visitors to Thailand, long-term expats, and retirees, especially those with dependents.
As with the now defunct Thailand Elite Visa Program, replaced by the Thailand Privilege Program, the Platinum membership provides a convenient, multi-entry visa with far fewer prerequisites than other long-term Thai visas. And, to better elevate the living experience in the country, all Thailand Privilege memberships come with a diverse list of benefits and perks that the previous Thailand Elite Visa Program didn’t even come close to matching.
The Platinum membership tier distinguishes itself from the other tiers in a few key ways. Compared to Gold membership, it has double the visa duration for less than half the cost. Furthermore, the Platinum membership, like the Diamond and Reserve, allows for additional members to be added to the membership on the same application, unlike the Bronze Membership and Gold Membership which have no such feature.
Overview of the Thailand Privilege Platinum Membership
Here are the basic details for Platinum membership:
- Membership Validity: 10 Years
- Membership Fee (primary applicant): 1,500,000 THB
- Membership Fee (additional members): 1,000,000 THB
- Annual Privilege Points: 35
- Transferable: No
Note that for the privilege points feature, additional family members will NOT receive their own allotment of points. All additional members must share the pool of 35 points granted to the primary member.
The Platinum membership provides a Thailand Elite Visa that is valid for 5 years and can be renewed once up to the maximum membership validity period of 10 years. This is a multiple-entry visa that enables holders to freely leave and return to Thailand without the need to apply for a re-entry permit each time. Members will also be able to enjoy expedited processing through immigration at the airport when doing so.
What are the Benefits of the Thailand Privilege Platinum Membership?
The perks offered by a Thailand Privilege Platinum membership are more or less the same ones available through a Gold or Diamond membership. The difference is in the amount of privilege points awarded annually, so while the available benefits are the same, Platinum members will enjoy more of them compared to Gold members. The Reserve tier, which is available via invite only, has some additional benefits.
The full list of perks, discounts, and free services available through the Thailand Privilege Program is too long to mention. Because of this, we’ve provided you with a quick overview of what you can expect after joining the program:
- Premium Lane for immigration fast-tracking at ports of entry
- Elite Personal Assistant (EPA) service upon arrival at the airport
- Concierge services to assist with various administrative tasks, which include immigration-related processes (90-day report, etc), driving license applications, and opening a Thai bank account
- Health checkups, wellness packages, and other medical treatments at Thailand’s leading hospitals
- Wealth advisory and investment consulting services
- Special deals and discounts at leading restaurants, shopping centers, hospitals, spas, airlines, activities, vehicle rentals, and many more

Eligibility Requirements for Thailand Privilege Platinum Membership
Applying for a Thailand Privilege membership is simpler than any other long-term visa option in Thailand. There are no specific requirements for age, education, income, employment, marriage, or investment. The only condition is to pass a background check handled by the Thai government.
However, to be eligible for the Thailand Elite Visa, you must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a foreign passport; all nationalities are eligible except the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea)
- Passport must have at least 1 year of remaining validity at the time of application
- Must not have a record of serious visa overstay in Thailand
- Must not have a record of criminal conviction, bankruptcy, or being declared mentally unfit
- Must not ever have held a Thai volunteer visa
How to Apply for a Thailand Privilege Platinum Membership
Your first step when applying for a Thailand Privilege membership and the accompanying Thailand Elite Visa should be to engage the services of a General Sales and Services Agent (GSSA).
These are private organizations that are certified by the Thai government to assist all applicants with the Thailand Privilege Program. They have comprehensive knowledge of the Thailand Privilege Program and its processes, enabling them to provide consultations as well as application preparation services.
Applying through a GSSA makes the whole process swift and streamlined while minimizing the chances of rejection. Best of all, these services are completely free to applicants as the cost is included in your membership fee. Do not apply through unauthorized visa agents, as there is always a risk of fraud. When choosing a Thailand Elite Visa agent, look for the official GSSA seal:
Thailand Privilege Platinum Application Process
