What is Thailand Pass?

The Thailand Pass system is a free-of-charge web-based system designed to make the documentation process of travelers entering Thailand more efficient and faster. The Thai Pass QR code is required for all travelers entering Thailand.

The application will be approved by the central authorities in Thailand and not the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate. Therefore, please allow sufficient time for approval after registering for the Thailand Pass.

The goal of the system is to help support the country’s “Ease of Travel” system after it reopens and to expedite filling out information and uploading travel documents.

Who Can Apply for the Thailand Pass

Thai Pass is required for all travelers entering Thailand, whether they be Thai nationals or foreigners.

From May 1, 2022, Thai Pass application and approval requirements will depend on a traveler’s vaccination status.

  1. Fully Vaccinated travelers will be able to enter Thailand under the No Quarantine program. A vaccinated traveler does not need to book 1 night’s accommodation in an approved SHA+ hotel or complete an RT-PCR test on arrival.Fully vaccinated foreigners will need to provide proof of COVID insurance and their vaccination certificate when applying for Thailand Pass. Thai Nationals only need to provide their vaccination certificate as insurance is not required. Unvaccinated children under 18 years old may travel with vaccinated parents without quarantine. The parents must include the children’s personal information in the application.
  2. Unvaccinated travelers will have 2 options for entering Thailand:
    • Unvaccinated travelers will be able to enter Thailand under the existing 5-day Alternate Quarantine program; OR
    • Unvaccinated travelers will be able to enter the No Quarantine program by completing an RT-PCR test and uploading the result into their Thai Pass application. The test cannot be older than 72 hours before their departure date.

What are the Requirements for the Thailand Pass

To support “Ease of Travel’, entry requirements have been eased from May 1, 2022. You can now apply with fewer documents and obtain a QR entry code faster.

The document requirements are listed below.

Vaccinated travelers (No Quarantine)

  • A certificate of full (2 doses) vaccination or vaccine card
  • A medical insurance policy with at least USD$ 10,000 minimum coverage

Unvaccinated travelers (No Quarantine)

  • Your passport profile page
  • An RT-PCR test result no more than 72 hours before your departure date
  • A medical insurance policy with at least USD$ 10,000 minimum coverage

  • Confirmed booking of SHA+ hotel 5-day Alternate Quarantine package
  • A pre-booked RT-PCR test on arrival (if not included in your package)

Proof of Vaccination

For vaccinated travelers entering under the No Quarantine program, you must prepare your vaccination certificate or card. The file must be in JPG, JPEG, or PNG.

For unvaccinated travelers who would like to enter Thailand under the No Quarantine program, instead of submitting a vaccination certificate or card, you must submit a negative result of the RT PCR COVID-19 test issued within 72 hours before traveling to Thailand.

Vaccine Card

Flight Details

The next step of the process is to book your flight to Thailand. Although it is not required to submit a proof of flight booking, the Thai Pass system will require the following information of your flight:

  • Country of Departure
  • Date of Arrival in Thailand
  • Flight Number
  • Estimated Exit Date from Thailand

Hotel Booking or Address  in Thailand

The Thailand Pass system does not require travelers to provide a hotel booking as well. However, you will be required to provide an address in Thailand. If you will be staying in private accommodation you may provide the address.

For travelers staying in a hotel, we highly recommend using Agoda.com when booking your hotel:

COVID-19 Insurance

Foreigners are required to submit proof of COVID-19 Insurance with minimum medical coverage of 10,000 USD.

How to Apply for Thailand Pass

The Thailand Pass System is a QR code generating system. To obtain a QR entry code or Thai Pass ID, travelers will have to:

  • Register at the official web portal
  • Input personal details
  • Upload the required documents per their vaccination status
  • Receive a confirmation email after registration (within seconds after registration)
  • Wait for the approval (normally within 1-3 days)

And if approved, you will receive an email with your QR Entry Code or ID, which you will use upon entering Thailand.

1. Apply for Thailand Pass by Yourself

You may apply for the Thailand Pass directly on the MFA website: https://tp.consular.go.th/

If you have already applied by yourself and you need to check the status, please go to: https://tp.consular.go.th/en/check-status

If you already applied and you still did not get the QR code or you were rejected, please email: [email protected]

2. Thailand Pass Application Service by Siam Legal

Application for the Thailand Pass is free-of-charge and you do not need any assistance to apply for it. However, there may be instances where some individuals may voluntarily choose a paid service provider such as a law firm to provide consultation, assist them to prepare their documents, and submit them on their behalf.

Individuals may encounter problems with their documents that are not being uploaded properly or are deemed unacceptable to the Thai embassy or consulate. This may cause delays or rejection of your application, so it may be helpful to retain a service provider to assist you with the application. These paid Thailand Pass services offered by Siam Legal are listed below.

Recommended Thailand Pass Insurance

Based on experience, the common problem for the applications being rejected and travelers being denied boarding their flight is that some insurance policies are not properly worded.

Your COVID 19 insurance must expressly state that it covers up to $10,000 USD medical expenses, including COVID 19 related incidents, and it must cover your whole stay in Thailand.

The Thai Pass system only accepts one attachment therefore it is important to have a one-page Certificate of Insurance with all the required information. To purchase the most reliable insurance that has never had a problem with the Thai Embassy or airline, please click the link below:

    1. Dear Bradley,

      Good day.
Applicants who have registered, but have not received their QR Code must wait for their Thailand Pass to be considered / approved. Once approved, they can enter Thailand under the scheme they have registered and approved.
      Thank you.

  1. Now that the Test & Go scheme is closed, can I still enter Thailand with the Alternative Quarantine scheme.

Can I quarantine in Bangkok ?

I am from Canada ,,, how long would I have to quarantine ?

    1. Dear David,

The application for the Test and Go is still open for the next 1.5 hours.
If you apply tomorrow or later, the Quarantine Program is for 10 nights.
      Thank you.

  2. Hello, I’ve been affected by a flight change – my flight will now arrive a day later, I’ve already rescheduled the hotel booking but obviously the Thailand Pass arrival date will be different. How does this affect the application? Will the thailand pass (assuming it is approved) be valid?

    Thanks, James

    1. Dear James,

The Thailand Pass will remain valid for your new flight as long as it is within 72 hours from the original flight. You can also apply for a new one. You still have an hour to do it now.
      Thank you.

    2. Thanks James, I head that reapplying can create an issue within the system of duplicated passport numbers – this leads to a rejection – so I am concerned about reapplying. Have you heard this this?

  3. Good afternoon Rex,
Thank you for the reply, I was under the impression that these were only valid until the 10th of January.
This was reported on a Thailand newspaper this morning

    1. Dear Sean,

As of today, your Thailand Pass is valid for the date of arrival stated in the Thailand Pass. If the government cancel the whole Test and Go, for sure you will also hear from us about it.
      Thank you.

  4. Good afternoon,
I have flights booked, hotels paid for, Thailand pass approved, but fly out on the 15th of January , will our application be cancelled, even if I want to go to Phuket now instead under the Sandbox scheme.

    Regards
    Sean (confused from England)

    1. Dear Sean,

      Good day.
Applicants who already received their Thailand Pass QR Code can enter Thailand under the entry program they have registered and been approved. Unless the whole Test and Go is totally suspended by the government.
      Thank you.

    1. Dear Julie,

      Good day.
Applicants who have registered before midnight of December 22, but have not received their QR Code must wait for their Thailand Pass to be considered / approved. Once approved, they can enter Thailand under the program they have registered and approved.

  8. If I travel from Japan to UK and stayed only for 12 days before flying to Thailand, can I get the Thailand pass for the Test & Go?

  9. We travel with our 3-year old. Does he have to do a test before we are travelling as well, or only when we arrive at Thailand?

    1. Dear Suzanne,

Supposedly starting December 16th, the child below 6 years old will only be requiring the COVID test upon arrival but with the new Omicron variant, and new travel restrictions, it is best to have the test before traveling and upon arrival for all of you.
      Thank you.

  10. Hi

I am a Thai national traveling from the UK back to Bangkok on 29th of December. In light of the new regulations regarding canceling Test & Go what are my current options? Can I still apply for the Thailand Pass as a Thai national to avoid doing either a full quarantine?

If not, how many days is the full quarantine now is it back to 7days or 14 nights? Am I still able to do the sandbox programme?

    Thank you.

  11. Hi – I received my Thai Pass but I have had to change my flights and travel date as flights got cancelled. Can I still use my Thai Pass for new flight and new travel date? Thai Pass is valid for arrival date of 25th Dec but my new arrival date will be 27th Dec. Thank you!

    1. Dear Michael,

You only need to apply or submit a new application. Make sure all documents are correct. The hotel booking must expressly state that RT PCR test is included. If you are arriving in Phuket, the RT PCR test is booked separately.
      Thank you.

      Thank you.

Your proof of vaccination does not need to have a QR code. Your son can travel to Thailand by himself if he is vaccinated with at least 1 dose of vaccine no less than 14 days before travelling and must present a PCR test result (issued within 72 hours before departure) upon arrival.

      Thank you.

  28. Hi

Do i need a thai pass as im transiting from thailand and will be there for 1 hour
And do i need travel insurance and what is QR code at Thailand.
    Please advise Asap

    1. Hi Mohammed,

You do not need a Thailand Pass if you are only transiting at Bangkok airport.

      Thank you.

  29. Do I need to get a Visa and Thailand Pass if I am staying in Thailand for 60 days or just the Thailand pass?

    Thanks

    1. Hi Jane,

The Thailand Pass is just an entry document during the Covid pandemic, it is not a visa. You will need to apply both for a visa and a Thailand Pass to travel to the country.

      Thank you.

  30. Hello, could you clarify please if I need a pass if I have a visa and work permit in Thailand and now abroad for a holiday¿ what would I need to do to get back to Thailand in January ¿ my country is not on the list of low risk countries, I’m fully vaccinated.

    Thank you!

    1. Hi Oksana,

Everyone traveling to Thailand, regardless of nationality or immigration status, need a Thailand Pass to enter the country. You can apply for this pass at tp.consular.go.th. For your case you will are eligible for the Sandbox scheme.

      Thank you.

  31. Hello
What are the steps to travel to Thailand for a Thai citizen? Besides the Thai pass, is there anything else I need to apply for?

    1. Hi Wipawadee,

Everyone, regardless of nationality, are required to apply for a Thailand Pass to travel to the country. However, you do not need medical insurance.

      Thank you.

  32. Hello, Do you need a Thailand Pass when transiting (airside) Bangkok?
    For example to Cambodia?
If not, what are the restrictions or conditions of entry when transiting?

  33. Hi, we are looking to book a holiday to Thailand. My daughter is 13 and unvaccinated, would she need to quarantine? Uk are saying that under 18’s do not need to quarantine.

    1. Hi Nehal,

Your daughter does not need to be vaccinated if she is travelling to Thailand with her parents.

      Thank you.

  34. Hello,
I have applied for the Thailand Pass and been approved. I have since changed the hotel I will be staying at for my Test & Go package. Should I reapply for Thailand Pass, or is there a way I can update my current Thailand pass.
    Thanks you!

    1. Hi Patrick,

Unfortunately you can will have to re-apply for Thailand Pass since your accommodation has changed.

      Thank you.

  35. Hell my name is Clay I’m applying for Thailand pass, my covid certificate is pdf file format, how can I submit this ..?
    Please help
    Best Regards
    Clayton Jackson.

  36. Hi,

I have applied for my Thai pass 4 days ago at the same time as my partner. He has received an approval whereas me and my daughter have not. We are due to fly out on Friday. I am afraid I will not get a response by then. How can I flag my application as urgent?

    1. Dear Afsheen,

      Good day.
I believe the reason it took longer for your to get approved is the second applicant being added to your application. As long as the documents you have submitted are correct and properly scanned, you will still receive the Thailand Pass QR code before the departure date.
      Thank you.

  37. Hello. I need to get to BKK ASAP as it’s for a funeral (and can prove it). My flight is meant to be on the 16th. As the deaths were very sudden, I was not able to apply eariler. I email the support address. Is there anything I can do get get approcval faster (I meet each and every requirement). Thank you.

    1. Dear Robert,

      Good day.
If you already received the 6-digit access code, you may call the support of Thailand Pass or you may send them a message on LINE app and contact @ThaiConsular
      Thank you.

    1. Hi Kennith,

We recommend applying for a Thailand Pass 7 days in advance but not more than 30 days to your departure date.

      Thank you.

  38. I am an expat resident in Thailand, British passport holder. I shall be leaving Thailand and returning from the United States. Where do I send my documents to apply for a Thailand pass? Thank you in advance.

  41. I am fully vaccinated. However, my husband is unvaccinated. We want to visit Phuket for vacation this coming holiday. Is my husband have to quarantine in Phuket or Bangkok for 10 days?

    1. Hi Sunshine,

Your husband will need to quarantine at your first arrival city in Thailand.

      Thank you.

  42. Hello,

Togother with my wife we applied for thaipass on 22.11. Now after 8 days, still no updates? What is happening? We have the flight departure on 07.12.

    Regards,
    Octavian

    1. Dear Octavian,

      Good day.
Yes, you may receive the Thailand Pass 1 to 2 days before your flight or you can contact Thailand Pass support.
      Thank you.

  43. Hi, I have Thailand pass approved.
But am now looking to land in Phuket instead of Bangkok. Do I have to re apply for Thailand pass.
The arrival and return dates will meet the under 72hr requirement.

    Thank you in advance.

    1. Dear Anton,

      Good day.
Yes, you must apply for a new Thailand Pass and provide a new flight details and new hotel booking.
      Thank you.

  44. Hi!
My husband and I will be travelling from the UK to Thailand in January but we are staying in Singapore for 5 days first (London -> Singapore -> Phuket -> London).

Are there any extra entry requirements coming into Phuket via Singapore? We are both fully vaccinated.

    Thank you!

    1. Dear Katie,

      Good day.
Both UK and Singapore are under the low risk countries. When you apply for Thailand Pass, your country of departure will be Singapore and not UK. You can qualify for the No Quarantine Program.
      Thank you.

  45. Hi, I applied for my Thailand Pass last Nov. 18 but it is still being reviewed until now. My flight is on Dec. 3. I have tried emailing [email protected] with all the required detailed such as full name, passport number, and arrival date but still no response from them. Should I re-apply or just wait? I’m afraid I won’t have my Thailand Pass yet on the day of my flight. Thank you in advance!

    1. Dear My,

      Good day.
Please allow the Thailand Pass system to review it for 7 working days. There is no need to panic right now.
      Thank you.

  46. I’ve received the approval for my Thailand Pass, but I have to change the date of my return flight. Do I have to apply for a new Thailand Pass?
    Thank you

  47. Hi Paul,

Greetings. Hope you’re doing well. I’m coming from the US to BKK under the “Test and Go”. Once my PCR test is negative, will I be allowed to go to Koh Samui for the beach vacation or not?

Please note: I’m not participating in the Sandbox program since I’m coming via “Test and Go”.

    Thanks,
    Aby.

    1. Hi Ahmed,

Yes, after your Test and Go, you will be allowed to travel anywhere in Thailand.

      Thank you,

    1. Thai AXA Insurance is not available if you were born before Dec 1946. I tried putting in my birthdate in Oct 1946, but it would not except it.

I tried sending an Email to [email protected] on Saturday, and my email was returned, not able to be delivered. Perhaps the site does not accept Emails on the weekend.

    2. Hi Roger,

Please contact AXA directly, the email address you sent to is the Thai government’s, they do not provide health insurance.

      Thank you.

  48. Hi All,

My tourist visa is nearly processed and should arrive within the week hopefully. Once I get the visa do I still need to get the Thai Pass as well? Thanks for your help in advance 🙂

    Regards

    1. Hi Daz,

Yes, a Thailand Pass is a travel document that allows you to enter Thailand during the Covid-19 pandemic.

      Thank you.

  49. Hi, my friend plans to travel by mid-December, she’s a non-o visa holder with re-entry visa as well. Regarding to the insurance requirements, She has a SSO insurance provided by our school. Does it eligible for insurance or does she need to get AXA insurance? Thanks.

    1. Hi Jenny,

Your friend’s insurance policy has to provide cover in Thailand for Covid-19.

      Thank you.

    1. Hi Salvador,

We recommend applying for a Thailand Pass at least 7 days before your date of departure.

      Thank you.

    1. Hi David,

Yes after your Test and Go, you are permitted to travel anywhere in Thailand.

      Thank you.

  50. We are about to travel from UK, we are both fully vaccinated including the 3rd booster, will we have to quarantine for the 1 night as specified?

    1. Hi Phil,

Yes you will need to do Test and Go for one night at an AQ/SHA+ hotel to await your Covid-19 test results.

      Thank you.

  51. Is there such thing as applying for Thai pass too early? My trip is December 10th can I apply for it now or should I wait? What happens if it doesn’t get approved in time for my trip?

    Thanks

    1. Hi Lauren,

Thailand Pass can be applied 30 days before your trip. We recommend applying for it at least 7 days before your date of departure.

      Thank you.

    1. Hi Andi,

Yes please apply for a new Thailand Pass because you changed your accommodation.

      Thank you.

    1. Hi Bob,

UK passport holders are visa exempted and can stay in Thailand for 30 days for the purpose of tourism.

      Thank you.

  52. Hello, I am traveling from the USA to Uk for 5 days and then intend flying to Bangkok – If I have 21 continuous days in USA/UK combined (both “green” countries) is that ok ???

    Thank you
    Keith

  53. my wife and I are arriving in bangkok on Dec30 have our three covid shots , insurance etc and are staying in a SRA plus hotel upon arrival…Jasmine city hotel.
Question …..when we get to bangkok does our hotel arrange for us to get our test and go or who????? or is the test at the airport?
    we are confused…please clairfy…..thank you

    1. Hi John,

Your hotel will arrange your Test and Go for you and you will be tested for Covid-19 at the hotel.

      Thank you.

  54. Hi I’ve put on my pass I’m flying with Thai airways but I’m going with Qatar now on the same dates. Is that ok with my pass?

  55. Hello,

I have a client arriving into BKK on the 19th of December at 18:40pm. They are then quarantining and taking a test before flying to HKT on the 20th at 19:10pm. Would this give them enough time for the test results to come back?

    Best regards,

    Jordan

    1. Hi Jordan,

Please check with your hotel about this. Covid test results usually take up to 24 hours.

      Thank you.

  56. Hello,
We are Canadian citizens, living in Canada that are fully vaccinated and plan on traveling to Phuket under the test and go.
On our journey to Phuket we plan on staying about a week Saudia Arabia and then 3 days in Dubai, which are both on the approved list.
Since our direct flight to Phuket will originate in Dubai, we will put that in the Thai pass application.
    1) wanted to confirm if the staying in both Saudia (7 days) and Dubai (3 days) prior to Phuket qualify under the 21 days stay for the Thailand pass?
2)Also, can you please clarify if Canadian citizens require a visa for an under 30 day visit for tourist purposes only to Thailand? The Thai site says no, but I have read conflicting info.

    Thanks for clarifying!

    1. Hi TI,

      1) That is okay as long as you have spent at least 21 consecutive in a low-risk country(s), you will be qualified for Test and Go.
      2) Canadian passport holders are visa exempted for 30 days as long as the purpose of visit is solely for tourism.

      Thank you.

  57. I will arrive in Phuket from an eligible country. I got the Thai Pass but I changed my flight from one airline to another landing on the same day. Do I need to reapply for the Thai Pass?

  58. My query concerns the identification information required when producing a vaccination certificate as part of the Thailand Pass procedure. COVID passes issued within the UK do not specify passport number, full name or nationality, as required by the Thailand Pass procedure. Is this likely to be a problem, please? Thank you for your expertise.

    1. Hi Tim,

A proof of vaccination must clearly show your full name, date of vaccination and vaccine type.

      Thank you.

    2. Hi Tim,

You can provide a screenshot of the PDF from your NHS App. Navigate to your COVID Pass and below your records, download the PDF copy and screenshot this. I did this and my Thailand Pass was approved.

  59. Hi,

We plan to travel to Phuket from Switzerland with transit in Bangkok and have chosen Sandbox Programme. Would there be a Transit hall where we could check in our luggage from Bangkok to Phuket (since we will be flying with 2 different airline) and could we do the local PCR test in Phuket directly (i.e. not in Bangkok) ?

    Many thanks for your feedback

    1. Hi Pfeffer,

Unfortunately you are required to do the Sandbox Program in your first arrival city in Thailand before you can travel to Phuket. Otherwise you would have to get a flight that lands in Phuket directly.

      Thank you.

  60. Hi.
I already asked two question. But seems to be deleted!

Just wondering if I must enter Thailand at Suvarnabhumi airport for a transfer between two seperate tickets from two different airlines? my stopover will be 8 hours. And I have NO checked-baggage for collection at Carousel.

    1. Hi Mahmoud,

You are required to quarantine at your first arrival city in Thailand which is Bangkok, after then you are permitted to travel to your final destination.

      Thank you.

  61. I have applied for the Thai pass but my flight was changed to the next day, do I need to apply for the pass again or could I use the same pass for arrival?

  62. I am at the web portal for Thailand pass ….it is asking for Access code !
Many websites tell me to go to Thailand Pass for access code , but I cannot have access code until I have the Thailand Pass…!! what the hell !

how do I get the access code ?

  63. Dear Ma’am/Sir

Good day! I would like to confirm if Bermuda (Sovereign State of United Kingdom) is included in the “List of Eligible Countries for No Quarantine”? Am I safe to assume that since it is a UK territory, fully vaccinated travelers from Bermuda will be allowed to enter Thailand with the quarantine-free program? I hope you could provide a prompt and helpful answer.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

    Best regards,

    1. Hi Therese,

Unfortunately Bermuda is not on the list of low-risk countries and you are not exempted from quarantine. You can however participate in the Sandbox Program where you have to spend 7 days in a specific area. The Sandbox areas include Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya, islands, and most tourist destinations.

      Thank you.

  64. I am flying to Bangkok from London via Dubai where I change planes and I am at the airport in Dubai for about 3 hours. What should I put as my country of departure for the Thailand Pass?
    Thanks

  65. Can I fly from UK to Qatar, stay in Qatar for one week and then go to Samui.

Fully vaccinated traveler from UK – I suppose since both UK and Qatar are on your ‘safe list’, this works in terms of your 21 day requirement to stay in one of the countries on your list?

    Thanks

    1. Dear Richard,

Yes, you can do that. The country of departure will be Qatar not UK when you apply for Thailand Pass.
      Thank you.

  66. I have had my e- visa application approved by the London Thailand embassy and they have sent me an confirmation email with the details and qr code on the bottom of the email is this document OK to use for my Thailand pass application as there is no visa?

    1. Dear Phillip,

That is your visa. That is needed for the Thai Immigration. That is not Thailand Pass. You still need to get Thailand Pass for the Health Officer at Bangkok or Phuket airport.
      Thank you.

  67. Hi,

Is it possible to submit/apply Thailand pass during weekend? or weekdays but after work hour like 7pm onward? Would that be an issue if I am doing it that way? Thanks

  68. How do I answer the question; the first arrival port in Thailand when I am coming from Dubai with a 1h30m stop in Phuket but destination is Bangkok?
Am I correct in saying that Bangkok is my first arrival port?

    1. Hi Caterine,

If you do not disembark from the aircraft in Phuket and your flight continues on to Bangkok then Bangkok is your first arrival port.

      Thank you.

  69. Hello! Is it possible to travel from Sweden to Thailand with transfering in Turkey, and then go to a test and go hotel?

    1. Hi Jonas,

Yes if you are just transiting at a Turkish airport you are permitted to do Test and Go.

      Thank you.

    1. Hi Marek,

If you are exiting Thailand you do not need a Thailand Pass, however if you are entering the country you will need to apply for a Thailand Pass at least 7 days before your departure date.

      Thank you.

  70. I am flying from the USA to Phuket, connecting in Bangkok. I am fully vaccinated and will be utilizing the Thailand Pass. Two questions: 1) If I stay airside at BKK can I continue on to Phuket the same day without testing and receive my test at the Phuket airport? 2) Since I have a 12 hour layover/connection in Bangkok, is it possible to book a room for the day at a BKK airport Test & Go hotel, receive my (presumably) negative test, and board my flight that same night continuing to Phuket?

    1. Hi Jamie,

No, you must do Test and Go at a hotel in Bangkok before you are allowed to travel to Phuket. The test results will take a day to complete and you will most likely need to spend a night in Bangkok and leave in the noon next day. Please check with an AQ/SHA+ hotel for more information.

      Thank you.

  71. Dear Sir

Can you please advise if you are aware of how to resolve booking problems for the RT-PCR test through thailandpsas.com. I have tried many times and continue to to be told: “9055: Your payment session has expired, please return to merchant page and attempt payment again.”

    Thank You

  72. Hello. I have applied for a thaipass and now its been 12 days and still no email with a QR code. No email or anything. Just the confirmation
    “Dear Mr. Martin Lucas Hansen
Thailand Pass system has received your registration.

The result of your registration will be sent to this email within 7 working days.”

What should I do? Try again? I have payed for fly ticket and hotels and stuff.. And i try to call many different numbers on embassy but no answer. I have send emails aswell.. no answer!!! =(

    Please help!! Martin

    1. Dear Martin,

      Good day.
In case your registration takes too long, contact [email protected] for enquiries about your registration status. Please include the following information at the beginning of your email:
      -full name
      -passport number
      -date of arrival
      Thank you.

    1. Dear Ernest,

      Good day.
The Thailand Pass is valid for travel based on the date of arrival stated in the QR code. However, in case of flight cancellation or delayed flight, the Thailand Pass will remain valid within 72 hours from the original flight time. You may apply for the Thailand Pass as early as 30 to 45 days before your travel date.
      Thank you.

  73. Hi, is there any reason why any of my questions I post get deleted EVERY time? They are valid, sensible questions which makes it very frustrating

    1. Dear Ian,

Your comment was not deleted. We just did not have the time to post the comments and answers.
      Thank you.

  74. Hi, do I need to apply for a Thai Pass if I am only transiting via Thailand between Australia and South Korea? I will not be leaving Bangkok airport.

    Thanks.

    1. Dear Junior,

      Good day.
No, you do not need a Thailand Pass if you are transiting for less than 24 hours and you do not need to clear immigration or passport control. You only need a COVID test and insurance for transiting in Bangkok Airport.
      Thank you.

  75. To qualify for “exemption to quarantine” it says you must have been in a listed country for 21 consecutive days. If I have returned from a trip to the USA, can I fly to Thailand 18 days later, given both USA and UK are on the list of eligible countries for no quarantine? I am fully vaccinated.

  76. Hi,

I am fully vaccinated and from one of the eligible countries for NO Quarantine. My main destination is Phuket. I am confused if I should select Phukhet sanbox program to apply for Thailand pass or I can choose the ” Test and Go ” ? My reason is to avoid the mandatory 7 nights hotel stay under Phuket Sandbox program before traveling to Bangkok

    thank you

    1. Hi RC,

If you are fully vaccinated and have spent at least 21 consecutive days in a low-risk country you can participate in Test and Go where you have to spend one night at an AQ/SHA+ hotel to await your RT-PCR test results.

      Thank you.

  77. Hi,
if i am travelling through SINGAPORE and staying there for a few days prior to BKK arrival does that make me still eligible for the quarantine free period in Thailand? I am flying from SYD – SIN – BKK. The rules say 21 days in the nominated countries qualify but unsure if that means if you have to be 21 days in each country ?
    thanks

  78. Hi.
I will be applying for 60 days visa, from Canada.
Do I apply first for the visa or Thailand pass code?
    Thank you.

    1. Hi James,

You have to apply for both. A visa will permit you to stay in Thailand for more than the 30 day visa free period whilst a Thailand Pass is a travel document that grants you entry into Thailand.

      Thank you.

    1. Dear Yan,

      Good day.
Unfortunately that is not possible. You need the insurance when you apply for Thailand Pass. You cannot travel to Thailand without Thailand Pass.
      Thank you.

  79. Hello
I plan to travel to Thailand in March 2022. I plan to use Singapore airlines via a three hour stop in Singapore is this allowed.

    1. Hi Russell,

Yes that is okay and you will be eligible for Test and Go or Sandbox Program.

      Thank you.

    1. Dear Bob,

      Good day.
Yes, there are direct flight to Thailand from UK, Singapore, UAE, Qatar, Austria, Switzerland, Japan, Korea, Germany, France, The Netherlands and other countries. If you are from the UK, you can choose, Thai Airways or even British Airways.
      Thank you.

    2. Hi Bob, no you don’t need to fly direct. I asked the Thai consulate in London and you’re permitted to transit. I asked the consulate specifically about transiting via Dubai en route from London. I’ve since found information on the Royal Thai embassy London website that indicates some restrictions such as stopover time needing to be less than 12 hours, and you must not go through security/ immigration control during the stopover. You are permitted to transit through a non-listed country.
